Unfortunately, the overall impression was significantly diminished b... read more We went to Eleon in Nuremberg, and the food was good – tasty and nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the overall impression was significantly diminished by the way our reservation was handled. We had reserved a table from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Around 6:30 PM, we ordered four desserts, which were served after about 15-20 minutes. Although we were still in the middle of our meal, we were informed shortly afterward that we had to vacate the table by 7:00 PM because the next guests were already waiting. This meant we had to eat the desserts within a few minutes to avoid having to get up practically with our plates in hand. This kind of thing is particularly disappointing in a Greek restaurant. It's typical in Greece to be able to eat at your leisure, without time pressure or the feeling that you have to finish quickly. You would never experience anything like this in a Greek restaurant. At €175 for four people, I would have expected the evening not to end like this. A short buffer between reservations or at least some advance notice would have been fair. It's a shame – because even if the food was good, what you remember most isn't what you ate, but how you felt. And unfortunately, the experience felt rushed and unwelcome.
