Lately we went with friends to Da Ugo'. Food was surprisingly good for a German' Italian restaurant at a price level that is acceptable. I had a great Branzino'. Highly recommended. We were asking for a wine recommendation. As my friend rather had a red,...we had a great red from Southern Italy at a very moderate price. We will be there again, soon!

Mangiare come a Roma, senza compromessi dovuti ai gusti tedeschi! Vai Ugo, sei grande! This is the only place where you have real Italian food in Germany, with no adaptations. Try the cacio e pepe pasta and you will be sitting in the heart of...Rome!

The food here is excellent and reasonably priced. Two of us had saltimbocca, perfectly cooked with prosciutto and sage and a delicious sauce. My grandson had a superb pasta a small serve for a child happily catered for. And my son in law, entrecôte...that he found very satisfactory. We all tucked into desserts, again with relish. We ate early and the restaurant was full by the time we left at It's clearly very popular so you might need to book. Definitely worth a try

Da Ugo in Nuremberg is a true hidden gem for lovers of authentic Italian lifestyle. Anyone expecting a stuffy fine dining atmosphere with white tablecloths and formal etiquette will be surprised: the restaurant impresses with its wonderfully uncomplicated, warm, and authentic charm. It 's a family-run business through and through, which is immediately apparent in the service and the overall atmosphere. A special insider tip for beginners is the excellent Negroni, prepared with meticulous attention to detail. While the pasta dishes on the menu are classic and expertly crafted, the restaurant 's true strength—and my highest recommendation—lies in its fish and meat dishes. The sea bream and sea bass, in particular, are cooked to perfection and impress with their freshness and pure flavor. These specialties stand out from the standard fare and make a visit a truly special culinary experience. The wine list is also worth mentioning: it offers a carefully curated selection of Italian wines, perfectly paired with the dishes and reflecting the family 's passion for their homeland. In short, Da Ugo is the perfect place for anyone looking for a relaxed, authentic Italian, and welcoming evening. It 's cozy, warm, and unpretentious—a place to feel at home where the quality of the ingredients and the hospitality are paramount. Anyone who appreciates honest, straightforward cuisine will find this restaurant highly recommended.

We were there with our company. There were no major problems, apart from the somewhat cramped conditions. The food and wine were good.
