Café Wohlleben - Nürnberg

A very nice cafe! The coffee and cake are excellent. The only downside is that it is small and seating can be scarce. However, it is very worth waiting for a seat.

Did anyone say cake?!? First things first, I haven't had such good cake in ages !!! . The name actually really fits this place Wohlleben good living , the cake was so good, if I could, I would have had three more pieces...or 4...5? I tried a Raspberry tartlet, and it was just perfect not too sweet, but juicy and scrumptious! And I was told the Snickers cake was not too bad either ; I wish I could have tried it, but peanuts make me go all blue in the face stupid allergies! The variety of cakes they offer is huge, and they keep on bringing new ones out it's like a never ending supply of cake, this is paradise! However, I can't give that last star, as the atmosphere was just not to my liking. It was all a bit squeezed together in a too small place, pretty old fashioned and rather uncomfortable. And, this is really important, the coffee was really not too good. It was decent enough, and a huge cup, and the milk was warm and served in the tinyest milk jug I've ever seen , but there's one thing I really need to go with fabulous cake and that's fabulous coffee! And this sadly just didn't hit the spot. Nevertheless, I know one thing for sure I will be back!! Bottom line: Need...more....cake!!

The cafe was a great find for a Sunday early afternoon, seeing nothing else in the city is open, or can offer such a deal. The brunch is a little pricy compared to other places that offer a larger selection, but it's a quiet/intimate environment so that's what you're truly paying for. I had a soy Latte and it was fantastic. The service was all extremely friendly and accommodating. I didn't feel rushed and the outdoor seating offered an alternative for great weather. Thanks for the experience!
