The staff is friendly and helpful, creating a nice atmosphere. They also have a wide variety of drinks. Overall, it is a well-presented establishment that is a great addition to Engadine's nightlife.

There were plenty of vegetarian options available, which was a positive, but the flavors fell short for me. I had hoped for fresher and more refined dishes. However, I still give them 4 stars because the atmosphere was fantastic - colorful and cheerful, the menu was impressive and well-planned. Considering they only opened a month ago, they are doing a great job. The staff member at the counter was extremely kind when I shared my feedback about the food not meeting my expectations. I will definitely return to this restaurant, perhaps trying different dishes next time.

The dips were very thin in consistency and not to my liking, but that was the only thing I didn't enjoy. The poppers were tasty and had a nice level of spiciness. For our main course, I shared the tamarind wings and a Caesar salad, both of which were delicious. Everyone else at the table also enjoyed their main dishes. The prices were reasonable and the service was friendly and attentive.

I'll go into the good points before I talk about what caused me to drop a star. Between our group we ordered nachos, the southern fried chicken burger and two sets of three tacos. All were reasonably priced, of good quantity, and very tasty. We did not have to wait long to receive our food after ordering. The atmosphere was comfortable, with pleasant background music and a well lit interior. The tables were well spaced apart, as well as being clean and tidy. When we arrived, there were no staff in sight. It was a Friday night, and the restaurant was fairly busy, so a short wait to at least be spoken to is not unexpected. We instead waited 2-3 minutes without seeing a single staff member, standing next to an unattended counter. When we were greeted by a staff member, we were seated fairly quickly due to our prior booking, yet there some confusion about which table was actually booked. It happens, so I figured no big deal. On being seated, we were offered some small starters, which we happily accepted, and arrived promptly (the guacamole was delicious). We then proceeded to be served by three different staff members, all asking us if we had ordered yet. None of the staff were professionally dressed, and the only way we could tell they were servers at all is because they approached us. When our orders arrived, the two sets of three tacos had been mixed up, despite each person having clearly ordered which tacos they wanted. In summary, I had the impression of a restaurant with a great kitchen but poor organisation of service. The food was excellent in taste and value. The wait staff seemed confused, were not able to adequately keep track of tables and their orders, and could have easily been mistaken for one of the diners. I'd be happy to go again for the food, but the quality of service is what caused me to only give four stars. They've definitely got something special here, but a bit of extra training for their servers is needed to make Tejano truly great. When I see this change, I'll happily add another star.
