Hyper Hyper in Nowra is a vibrant specialty café known for expertly roasted espresso, polished baristas and consistently fast, friendly service. With pleasant outdoor seating, vinyl music, a warming fire and standout pastries—Portuguese tarts and almond croissants—it's a popular stop for travelers and weekend locals. Open early on weekends and offering excellent takeaway coffee, it’s slightly pricey and applies a small public-holiday surcharge, but remains a must-visit for serious coffee lovers.

I discovered this café while searching for a place that was open during the public holiday season, and I'm glad I did! It's a gem in Nowra. The coffee is fantastic; I paid $6.50 for a large mocha. The Portuguese tart we tried was delicious as well, although a bit small for $5.50. The café has plenty of seating, mostly outside, which is quite pleasant. Delicious coffee—definitely the best I've had in Shoalhaven! The atmosphere is fun, and the service is friendly. I also enjoyed the tasty raspberry coconut slices.
We regularly visit this coffee shop on weekends, and it’s always a pleasant experience. We usually place our orders in person, which adds to the comfort. I typically get a piccolo, while my partner enjoys a cappuccino. Fortunately, there's rarely much of a queue, so we always manage to order in a timely manner. The entrance is consistently clean, and the signage is clear, just as you would expect from a well-run establishment focused on speed, efficiency, quality, and accuracy. As I mentioned, we ordered for two, and the service was exactly what we anticipated—friendly and relaxed. While we did have to wait a bit, it was perfectly fine because we were not in a hurry; we enjoy taking our time over our coffee. The quality of the coffee here consistently compares favorably with other places in the area that serve fresh coffee. Although there are tables inside, we prefer to sit outside next to Hyper Hyper. After waiting about three minutes for our order, we received our coffee, and as always, there were no complaints. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and ready to go. Overall, the coffee is reasonably priced! The service was, as expected, fast and efficient, with our orders consistently meeting our expectations, which is what we appreciate about Hyper Hyper. Thank you to all the staff—we look forward to our next morning coffee!

I will definitely be returning here! The atmosphere is amazing with only good vibes. The music is relaxing, and the coffee is exceptional—some of the best I've ever had. The toasties are delicious, and the Portuguese tart was still warm when I tried it. The outdoor fire added a lovely touch and brought back some great memories for me. It's clear that the owners are passionate about serving high-quality food and coffee, and it truly makes a difference. I highly recommend stopping by!
I discovered this café while looking for a coffee shop open during the public holiday season, and it has turned out to be a fantastic find in Nowra. The coffee is excellent, although it is on the pricier side—$6.50 for a large mocha. The Portuguese tart that accompanied it was also well made, but a bit smaller than expected at $5.50. There is ample seating available, mostly outdoors, and it's quite pleasant. Please note that there is a 50-cent surcharge for each transaction on public holidays.
This is my fourth visit to Hyper Hyper since 2019, and it continues to be one of the best coffee spots in Australia. Their barista's specialty, the doppio ristretto, is our favorite. They also offer a variety of warm tarts; we tried the Portuguese tart, and it was among the best I've ever had. For parking, head to Moss Street where you'll find shaded spots available. If you're heading to the south coast, Eurobodalla, or Sapphire Coast, definitely make it a point to stop by Hyper Hyper. I also recommend Scoops in Kiama, which serves their coffee—it's my go-to place for coffee whenever I'm in Kiama.
Best coffee in town and with the recent addition of their pop up eats and seating area, it’s the perfect place for a quiet cuppa or a catch up with friends.
