What User doesn't like about Tropical Smoothie Cafe:
Smoothie was not made correctly. Island green smoothie was not green. Not much flavor. I had the same smoothie at two other locations (south lyon and Plymouth) within the past week and the other two were great. They put scoops of ice which diluted it. A lot was thrown away. View all feedback.
My order was completely wrong after the girl at the register repeated how I wanted my food to the grill person right in front of me . Received chicken when I asked for turkey ! The chicken was also cold !! Did not get receive my 2 chips. I came right beforeI had to clock in for work. I called and spoke to whoever is on shift for 11/9 at 6:40 and was told well you can come back orcome tomorrow you normally grab your own chips but sorry we ain?t tell you that? . I will be there tomorrow for the correctsandwich and my chips . This is not the first time my order has been completely wrong and food cold .
I went in expecting a smoothie but ended up with flavored ice water. I was very disappointed in the quality of my drink, especially considering the high price of $14. I will not be returning to this location.
I have visited multiple locations of this restaurant and found that most of their smoothies taste like powdery drinks with a hint of flavor. However, a friend recommended the Bahama Mama drink to me, which was made well and delicious when he ordered it. Unfortunately, when I tried to order it on a September evening at 8:15pm, it was poorly made. I also ordered another smoothie that did not taste like its flavor description and had a runny consistency that tasted like tree bark. The location closed at 9pm and the lobby appeared to be closed, so I should have known not to place an order then, despite it being only 45 minutes before closing. In conclusion, everything tastes better when it belongs to someone else and it is best not to order anything when the lobby looks closed.
I work nearby and often order food from this restaurant, even though my orders are consistently wrong. I always double check my receipt before leaving to ensure it is correct. However, every time I open my meal, there is always a mistake - wrong dressing, missing ingredients, etc. With only a half hour lunch break, it is impossible for me to go back and have my order redone. I will definitely be looking for a new restaurant to order from.
Not even kidding I just watched one of their employees wipe up the floor with a rag. Then go to wiping the counters down around all the ingredients. Totally disgusting and nasty. This should not be acceptable. Anything used on the floor to clean up a spillshould never be used to clean food areas. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN. JUST GROSS!!!!!!!!!
