Carrabba's Italian Grill - Novi

I like to stop by this restaurant every now and then for a quick bite. The food is consistently good, so I have no complaints there. Our waitress has also done a great job, despite the challenges of being short-staffed. I know the pandemic has been tough on a lot of businesses, so I appreciate all the efforts they are making to recover. Hopefully, they will soon be back to the level of quality we were used to before the pandemic.

I really wanted to give a good review. We visited this restaurant in January and enjoyed it so much that we decided to return. However, there was a noticeable difference in our experience today. The food was still good, but the service was lacking. We felt neglected and ignored by the wait staff. Despite the restaurant not being very busy, we waited 10 minutes to be seated and were greeted with indifference. The waitress placed one set of silverware on our table, took one away without explanation, and left another to fall without a word. None of the waiting staff approached us until a member of the kitchen staff noticed and sent someone over. We were disappointed overall and would likely have a better experience at Olive Garden.

I had a poor experience at this restaurant. We waited for over 25 minutes to be seated, and then waited even longer to be acknowledged. It took an hour for us to place our order, and almost 40 minutes after that to receive our food. The meals were served at different temperatures, and the tables were not properly cleaned between guests. Despite there being other customers, the service was slow and overall it was a terrible experience.

The food was good. the waitress was nice. order, but the escape came out quickly and our soup/salad were forgotten. the food runner did her best to correct. our waitress never knew there was a mix. we're done with carrabbas.

On our latest visit, our service wasn't on par. Our entrees came out before our salads and the waitress blamed the two separate kitchens ? . It seemed like she had more important things to do. A great server sees ahead and knows when to place the appetizers order, the salad order and the entrees orders. Also, if you notice drinks are empty and the customer is not through with their meal, there's a good chance they would want a refill. You should never have to ask another server to get your server either. Like I said...more important things.
