Sam's Place - Novato

Our first time here on the way to Santa Rosa. Breakfast was delicious, great service and will definitely return when it comes.

Nice and clean, and almost empty on a week morning. Had a very moderate Huevos rancheros. Ashamed return without Ranchero sauce, no avocado, no acid cream will get you a small corn tortilla with a good part of black beans, eggs, a slice of any kind of melted white cheese and pico de gallo. Hash Browns also under brown. It's for $15.95. Omelettes at other tables looked good, but the menu is overpriced to increase costs even for the usual post pandemic. Good service but will definitely not be back.

We stopped here in 2019, and the food was still great when we could return this morning! The service is also really wonderful. I just wish we lived closer.

A good, old-fashioned, family-friendly diner. Let's get something straight from the racket. if you are looking for an exquisite super high-end beech food experience, this is not your review. However, if you grew up in the pre-smartphone era and are used in places where people can be manipulated and used all manners, then you might have found a jewel in Sam's place. I've been living in Novato for 7-8 years and recently went through the doors. Why did I wait so long? I hunted a hearty breakfast on Wednesday at 9 a.m. and that was the only place in Novato. Finnegans and Toast do not open up to 10 and Bacon was locked up for renovations, so I stumbled over Sams. When I walked, I was greeted by the sights of the old pictures of Novato, a smiling waitress and a cool train on the top of the room! (superating) You could say that many hot rodders either hang around or the owner is a hot rodder. I sat at the bar and asked a few questions about the restaurant and menu. Our waitress is a long time Novato live and we had a nice little chat. She pointed me to the Corned Beef Hash, which is made fresh on site. I'm glad I chose this because it was DELICIOUS!!! The taste textures were striking and I enjoyed every bite. Many people do not like the fat spoon, the type of establishment. Hey, all right. But if you have a little old-fashioned in your life then give this place a shot.

The staff is outstanding. The decor is fun. We sat outside and I forgot to look for the train that circles the dining room. Very family friendly, from the menu of American classics to the lively spaces. Our server was kind, easygoing and quick to accommodate our various requests. Everyone was happy, smiling, friendly. There appears to be quite a loyal client base. Overall, we left happy and well fed.
