It was great to go back to The Hemlock Stone after seeing its doors closed for such a long while. The food was lovely, we each had a different main, the roasted cauliflower salad was delicious one of the nicest meals out I have had in a while. The deal 2 for £8 cocktails in the evenings is great and they have a nice range to choose from. I would have rated 5 stars but I did not see one member of staff wearing a mask... View all feedback.
What Dylan Hunter doesn't like about The Hemlock Stone:
had this much less than the thick end of £20 for two mere main courses. I'd be a little more sympathetic. even more bolts on vegan dressing for a chain pub with little thought for taste, presentation or quality. very better scrub from my local chippy where at least the chips are vegan. wife is definitiw no happy boy! I'll be honest, its probably just personal taste but I don't like how they've re-decorated the place. I prefer pubs to be old fashioned and not too...
Decent English and Thai food on offer here at reasonable prices. Nothing unexpected on the Thai menu Thai Green Curry etc so you won't find any hidden...
Old English pub converted a few years back into a combination pub and Thai restaurant. Very good food and a nice bar area.
I enjoy the new vegan options in all ember inns. we went as a mixed group to the hemlock stone, among them 4 vegan adult and 2 vegan children – we all have enjoyed eating the atmosphere and service really. I don't know if it's improved since the previous reviews, but we were all really impressed and had a similar experience in januar, but think it's even better, it's sortiment and amount of vegan options
Had to send back a Burger back. the manager argued with me that it was tortured. So I threw it on a table and left one. it was very stale!
