Booked a table for 5 at 5 o clock got there at 4.45 table ready brilliant but then 3 off use wanted xl mix grill but was not available 1 wanted mac Cheese not available latte came out like cup of milk no taste of coffee then after an hour waiting we was told our food was being cooked now and then ordered Cheesecake that came out warm because thay defrost it in microwave so not very good at all especially for a bank h... I would say Never judge a book by it 's cover The first impression as you drive in is a little disappointing , it doesn 't look the most attractive building and when we went the grass wasn 't cut so it looked a little scruffy.. However... The inside is smart , clean and the staff very friendly and very efficient. The food was absolutely great value and the drinks were competitive. We would certainly be back especially as they are dog friendly.
We stayed here in our motorhome for the night in their large car park having read many good reviews within the motorhome community. The staff were lovely and could not be more welcoming. We both had a meal which excellent, steak and chips with a few excellent and well priced beers, what's not to like! Would definitely return.
Excellent service, food was amazing I had the sirloin steak and it’s one of the best steaks I have had it cut like butter, my partner had the mixed grill and loved it also. Thank you We will be back

Very pleasant visit while driving. nice and clean inside. the ordered food did not have to wait too long. more than many portions. very fresh and hot. good choice in the menu.
We love this pub. Great atmosphere, really helpful friendly staff. Fantastic value meals which have always been spot on. Lots of choice and some fabulous deals. We have just been in with our granddaughters while we're visiting them, we're not locals but we always feel as welcome as if we were. Keep up the great work Starting gate.

Was not overtaken in one because of a really bad meal earlier, hühnerburger. so on today's visit big kerl on the bar very friendly, credit to the pub, since not many places they are visiting now they are having a smile and friendly chat, 3 meals all very good, no complain so will be again. pub clean and welcoming music not loud, so we could chat and be heard, kerl, who also brought the food very friendly, simply did not inform us any chocolate wings cake, but offered an alternative to chocolate brownies. thanks for a great visit.
