we love this place, the whole Gothic atmosphere. we came here twice for my young party. once on Friday evening for a meal with a friend eating well and service fast. on Saturday night for cocktails. as my previous review said, the cocktails have not improved....the 7 deadly slings etc. is a good train, but they are such cheap cocktails and do not taste good. if they only want a cheap beer/drawn and a good atmosphere,... What Ryan W doesn't like about Pit And Pendulum:
Great atmosphere, really relaxed. Good selection of beers. Bar staff are pretty slow and have no idea who was stood at the bar first. Pretty basic bar staff skills are missing which is a shame. View all feedback.
Perfect place for any rock, horror, or goth fan. Secret FYI, the loo’s are downstairs hiding behind the book case wall. Went here before a rock city gig on the recommendation of other people, and it was full of others going seems like the place to go before if your here for a rock gig. Good food, good selection of beers, and for any rock fan they belt out absolute tunes. Will come here whenever I’m back to visit rock city. 5*
Me and my sisters came here to continue the wake of our Uncle. All the staff were amazing, the decor is to die for, the music is definitely our taste (rock/metal). We had several pitchers of the seven deadly sins and the food was spot on. We had an amazing time, we spent about 6 hours here. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that is different or fancies a change of scenery to a traditional pub/restaurant.
Great cocktails, well made by the staff, awesome music, friendly atmosphere and tasty food. Can't wait to go back, we had a fantastic time! Prices are actually pretty reasonable.
I love this pub and the atmosphere is great. The cocktails are great and the staff are friendly. We decided to have a dessert as we had already had a main meal somewhere else and the desserts were delicious. The vibe between weekdays and weekends are so different but still so fun.
Well I wasn't expecting that ! Felt like I'd walked into a medieval castle . The place has secrets in every corner, hidden toilets behind books and paintings of interesting characters around the walls . The staff are all interesting people , the drinks and found menu are varied . Total experience
