The best Indian restaurant experience ever, from the charming staff to the ambience to the food, every mouthful a delight. Looking forward to another visit. Praised some years ago by the renowned food critic A A Gill and justly deserved. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The ambience was beautiful, in fact I'd say the cover photo on here doesn't do it justice. The service was excellent , genuine recommendations on sides to help us not over order for a start! Polite, professional and warm. The food was enjoyed by everyone, mostly meat eaters plus me, one vegan. As food is marked as vegetarian and/or containing dairy, I was able to pick items veggie and no dairy and then check if they were vegan which they were based on this, there's a reasonable amount of choice. When naans were ordered for the table and I said I don't have that as it contains dairy, the waiter very politely and kindly suggested to the group to swap one of our naan portions for roti so I could have some. Everything was just wonderful, I would go back in a flash. I wish I'd taken photos... but I did take a video of the toilet, you'll see why if you watch it! Never seen this feature before hahaha! The appetizers were delicious, but I was disappointed with the chicken tikka masala. The chicken was tough and tasted like it had been reheated with sauce poured over. It was not up to my expectations. However, my husband really enjoyed the lamb dish.
