My wife and I stopped in Nottingham and were looking for a place to eat. We stumbled upon the Dancing Dragon and were seated by the friendly staff. We ordered Chicken Curry with the house special rice, as well as Beef Chow Mein. We also tried Chinese beer, which was delicious. The curry was flavorful and full of spices, and the beer was so tasty that I ended up having two bottles. The portions were generous and we co... View all feedback.
What 802emilyh doesn't like about Dancing Dragon:
My first and last time visiting this place. 1. Slow customer service 2. There was no manager/supervisor 3. One waiter doing everything 4. Bugs and pests in the restaurant! 5. A MASSIVE SPIDER crawling on my food and they still wanted us all to pay. Even worse, 4 more months were flying into our food and across our table! 6. The waiter has no manners. He talked back to 7 unsatisfied customers. 7. The delivery man had... View all feedback.
This place was horrific! Didn 't understood us trying to change our booking time, which meant we had to go very late at night, had no drinks which were on the menu his constant answer was no we haven 't got that, all from bottles they 'd brought, drinks were flat and empty ones were lying around and flies flying everywhere. This was just the start... After ordering our food some of us got our starters, however some didn 't. He then tried to say we 'd ordered another meal for a person who didn 't exist! Whilst this was happening the people who already had their starters got their mains. This caused confusion as we couldn 't understand why this had happened and it caused our food to go cold! Eventually the rest of the mains came, even without some of the starters!, but with no rice that we 'd ordered with our meals some didn 't have any utensils to eat with and had to continuously ask for some and he kept 'forgetting ' this wouldn 't be a problem but no one else was in the restaurant! One friends meal came with the chicken still pink we complained twice and it still came out pink so refused to eat it! Eventually our rice came after we 'd finished our mains which caused inconvenience! Then the rest of the starters were brought out!!! We swiftly wanted to pay the bill and leave! We asked for the bill had to wait another 15 minutes for this and we asked to take the chicken dish off the bill after not eating it and complaining twice, when we added up our prices it wasnt the right price they had over charged us which we then complained again and he stated I 've just discounted it but we wasn 't happy with a discount of £2 something that wasn 't touched costing £7.40! This ended in us complaining about the whole evening and he said yes things take longer to cook, if this is the case we wait not all eat at random times! It resulted in him ringing his manager, therefore he clearly wasn 't being supervised and couldn 't run the business by himself! The manager allowed us to have it fully removed but it 's safe to say me and my friends are NEVER thinking of returning again!
I was planning a get together with a few colleagues after work as a Christmas get together. This seemed ideal as its a 5 min walk from where i work. Bad mistake! The place always looks empty each time i pass and now i know why. Firstly the staff were very dis-interested. After asking for a table for 6 people then asked to wait in the lobby. After 15 minutes we showed ourselves to the table. The drinks were warm and flat. I had the duck in orange sauce. The duck was greasy and came in lemon sauce! The food my colleagues had was under cooked and swimming in oil.The cutlery hadnt been washed. As for the toilets..well all ill say is the floor was cleaner!I was ill for 2 days after eating here.Definatley avoid at all costs!

How can a manager leave his Restuarant with no supervisors and 3 part timers! Is this how you run a restaurant?!
This Chinese restaurant is by far the worst I have ever been to. The service was terrible - one main dish came 5-10 minutes before the rest of our meal. When my duck chow mein finally arrived, it was inedible - the noodles were undercooked and there were just lumps of fat. The rest of the meal was just okay. I complained about it when paying, but there was no offer to take anything off the bill. There were no other diners in the restaurant, which should have been a warning sign. I will never be going back - this place deserves half a star, it was truly terrible.

We would definitely return whenever we're in Nottingham again. I highly recommend trying this place - I even left a tip.
