Description

Nestled in a charming location, this village pub boasts a lovely garden perfect for families. While the ambience is inviting and the service commendable, the food experience has left many patrons with mixed feelings. Diners have noted inconsistencies with menu availability and pricing, particularly regarding advertised specials. Some small plates and roasts failed to impress, while desserts emerged as a highlight. Although drinks are perceived as overpriced, the overall atmosphere coupled with efficient service makes it a decent spot for gatherings. However, many agree that improvements are needed in food quality to match the pleasant setting.

Me and partner thought we would stop for a drink on the way back from the city, nice beer garden, drinks a little on the pricey side, however the comments being exchanged between staff made us feel quite uncomfortable so we left after one drink...

Stopped for a quick drink to kill a little time before heading into the city. Couldn't resist a pudding... sticky toffee pudding and it was perfection. Great visit will return for a complete meal very soon.

Land lord the most ignorant person I have ever met, and many people from mulbarton village have had the same experience, table for 10 food no complaints, waitress, very forgetful.

The positives, lovely garden and at first sight great area for young kids to play but be carful slides cracked and no care given with maintaining. Beer choice good. Inside it is a bit dated and old, dark and lacking any atmosphere. Bar staff, young...

Place stinks of smoke and like a run down care home. Service ok from waitress, however restrictive management creating overall poor service and experience. Not willing to go above and beyond for best customer outcome, even with the most simplest of requests. The pub was awfully quiet for a bank holiday weekend, this should have been our first sign of a bad pub. This pub needs a really good clean. Please use a carpet washer on the furniture and floor to bring back some colour in the pub. A pub is a pub at the end of the day, serves food and drink so 2 stars as it was open and served. Lacks service with a smile.
