Super tomato salad starter. Very good attentive service. The main course superfood salad I had was a bit bland. The coffee mini dessert (sorbet was very good just the right amount for a dessert. Good place for people watching! View all feedback.
What NFNtraveller doesn't like about Pizza Express Norwich Forum:
Food is as expected, no real complaints as you are not filled with high expectations. The meal was tainted by inattentive and ambivalent low rent parents allowing their rat boy offspring to charge around the whole premises. Waiting staff pleasant enough but you would like to think that an invested manager would have had a discreet word. View all feedback.
My boyfriend decided to take me for my birthday as I'd always said I wanted to give it a try it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had, I was so impressed!! The service was also good but I guess part of that is cause we went at a quiet time and they were clearly over staffed.
After booking in advance a really fantastic restaurant in Norwich I cancelled as my son didn't want to go out for Father's Day, he wanted to spend the day at home. After going out for the day into the city to sort out a few things we were at Chapelfield Park and we all decided to go out for a Pizza. There were 4 adults, 2x 6 year olds and a 2 year old. We arrived at approx 5.30pm to a busy restaurant, great view great atmosphere. The waitress was very nice and courteous, not like the lady manager. The young waitress took our drinks order and then brought them over which was fine. She then took our order which again we thought was fine. For adults they were doing an offer for Father's Day, 3 courses off a set menu for £13.99, bargain! We were all quite ravenous and were excited waiting for our Garlic Dough balls to arrive. The waitress brought over 2 starters of dough balls for the children and then we waited and waited and waited a bit more whilst she was off serving other customers their food, the lady manager then brought over the adults dough balls and 1 of my son's was waiting which he was starving so we couldn't sit eating in from of him so my husband gave his to him to eat and after a few minutes of still nothing he went into the main restaurant (We sat over by the lift) and asked where our son's starter was. Eventually we got it but we all thought it was bad.Anyway, we very much enjoyed our starters even though we all ate separately! Without our starters being cleared away a different waiter then brought over 2 adults mains courses, I asked if he could clear our table, he took 3 plates away (there were 7), again we waited and waited for the others to arrive, which they then brought over 2 more adults mains so my husband got up again and spoke to the general manager and told him it wasn't good enough, by this stage our food was cold, you can't sit and eat in front of your children, we had spicy pizza's so it wasn't as if they would eat them but they are a bit young to understand! Again after moaning 2 children's main courses arrived, 1 was missing. Turns out the waitress didn't think the 2 year old was eating?!?! Bearing in mind it was pasta in garlic but term it shouldn't take too long to cook, we actually lost track of how long it was before the food came out but anyway she was sharing some of the pasta with the boys. When it did come out it actually tasted burnt so she didn't want to eat it and quite rightly so.We were apologised to. It had become extremely quiet in the restaurant as most people had left.We then thought the 2 choices on the dessert were chocolate fudge cake or ice cream, we all wanted the fudge cake. Surprisingly, they had run out so the manager said we could have anything off the main menu which was nice but if your offering a set menu surely you get enough food in to cover it!After yet again more ridiculous waiting we got in dribs and drabs 6 desserts, 4 adults and 2 children. They forgot that we had 3 kids, clearly! then the 3rd ice cream came out and had a cone on it so that causes the kids to ask why they didn't get a cone too.My husband took our son to the toilet and the manger handed him the bill en route, even though we hadn't asked for it. Think they had had enough of us by then!! He told him that after all the mistakes they had taken all the food off the bill and we only had to pay for drinks. Don't get me wrong it was a lovely gesture but we wanted to pay for the food, we went out for a family meal.Serously Pizza Express, if I was a mystery shopper, you would have been in trouble! Your team needs serious training. We were never asked for any other drinks. The find quality was good but by the time we ate it was cold. Sorting the attitude of the lady manger needs to be addressed, we all thought how rude she was!We will return at some point but certainly not soon!!!!!! Very disappointed!!!!!!!!
I was visiting friends we popped into pizza express due to a voucher we had. The waitress couldn't be anymore helpful! The food was beautiful was help down with a tasty bottle of wine. 3 courses wine for 2 £44.00 what a bargain!!!The staff didn't try and hurry us out as soon as we had eaten. Would defiantly be visiting again
Great location, first floor up, glass fronted restaurant at The Forum. Our service was good and the two pizzas ordered were OK but nothing special. Whatever you do don't order the Legarra Superfood Salad I've just visited the Pizza Express website to check what should have been in it mixed leaves, cucumber, avocado, fresh basil, beetroot, light mozzarella, pinenuts, lentils, balsamic dressing sounds quite yummy. However, the large plate was covered with spinach and leaves with no different colours or textures and I had to search for the other ingredients mozzarella was tasteless, beetroot was tasteless (homegrown beetroot cooked is sweet and delicious), no avocado, no basil, tasteless and undercooked lentils, 4 thick slices of cucumber, small amount of butternut squash that left a curious aftertaste. I ordered chicken at a supplement of £1.50 but that was tasteless too. It was not an appropriate occasion to complain but when the waitress took our plates away and mine was still completely covered with the unappetising salad leaves it should have alerted her to the fact that something was wrong. There were lots of families eating there and it is a child friendly venue but I wouldn't recommend it.
Lovely handmade pizza, good customer service and in a great central location with disabled access. Nice place to go with freinds after a hard day's shopping. Car park in the forum makes it a two minuite walk to the restaraut. It's very busy so I would advise booking in advance.
