Ov... read more We celebrate Christmas Eve with family and friends every year and decided this year, as we have started visiting weekly again, to go to our local, The Otter. Over the years landlords have come and gone but Mark and his team are great. Very accommodating with all our needs and nothing was too much trouble for them. They moved tables to cater for our party of twelve and several times came to check to make sure everything was okay. The pub once again has that local, family feel and we very much look forward to our next visit.

We were prepared to have paid over double what we paid here at our hotel but after being charged ‘linen surpluses’ of £45 by a manager/chef we decided not to have our food spat in and try this dog friendly place. Great excellent value food selections. I thought my wine glass was brand new as when we eat out there are nearly always water marks on the glass and this was spotless. A meal for four people with four drinks for £30 and great friendly service…. Limited places you can get that these days!
