Marmalades - Norwich

I had a wonderful experience at this charming café. It was very clean, and the staff were delightful, friendly, and helpful. I had lunch there and the jacket potatoes were amazing. I will definitely be returning in the future.

The staff at this restaurant seem more interested in causing trouble than providing good service. They take pleasure in making a mess and leaving dust all over your food and drinks. Unless you enjoy being mistreated, it's best to avoid this cafe altogether.

Consistently good food (I have been here many times over the last 5 years) quick service and friendly atmosphere. It might not have an adventurous menu or any ground breaking presentations, but for a light lunch, afternoon tea or a quick coffee break and rest it's perfect. Nice option to sit inside the cafe or outside, inside the royal arcade.

What has happened to the nice panini's at Marmalades. We have for many years called in at Marmalades and have always enjoyed their great panini's, but today the panini's were awful, we ordered a tuna and cheese and a ham and cheese expecting the usual quality but both were very disappointing, the panini itself was not like the previous ones and the fillings were very sparse , the cheese was minimal on both and had practically melted into the panini's, the tuna was barely visible and the ham was also minimal. Not sure about the other menu items. Needles to say we will not be returning.

I always look forward to going to Marmalades. It is the highlight of my shopping trip. We pop in there for a coffee, the best around and the cakes/gateaus are delicious. I cannot understand the few bad reviews as I've never had a negative experience in the 21 years I have been going there. The atmosphere and ambience is always comfortable and the staff very pleasant and polite.
