Stayed in the hotel for the first time it was considerably cheaper than the nearby premier inn on my chosen date). As a lone traveller, working away from home, I usually eat in the hotel restaurant and to be honest I am usually disappointed!!! BUT NOT HERE. I ate in the restaurant where I was the only diner. The staff were polite and they were also waiting on in the bar area which looked busier). It was 22.95 for 2 courses and my food really was delicious. Prawn starter and then I chose the sirloin steak main £3 surcharge). Everything was lovely and hot well presented and very tasty. Definitely coming back here next month instead of the dreaded PI!! A great job thank you
We decided to take advantage of the special offer and were not disappointed. The restaurant had a nice ambiance and a welcoming atmosphere, thanks to the friendly chef who prepared the meat dishes. The portions were very generous and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would not hesitate to return, especially with the offer still available.
I typically don't enjoy dining at hotel restaurants because the food is usually overpriced and underwhelming. However, after a busy day, my companions and I were too tired to venture outside of the hotel. Despite the restaurant being quiet with only a few other diners, the waiting staff was friendly, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the set menu was appealing. I opted for the goats cheese starter followed by the Trio of pork, both of which were simple and to my liking. I prefer dishes that are not overly complicated and this restaurant delivered. The starter and main course were both enjoyable, cooked well with real mashed potatoes and vegetables. Although my desired dessert was not available, the alternative of sticky toffee pudding was also delicious. For under £30 for a three-course meal, I found the pricing to be reasonable for a hotel restaurant. Overall, I was impressed with the experience.
Nice comfy hotel with good amenities. well positioned for easy transport into and out of the Norwich area
Convenient for Norwich. The Hotel is being refurbished but unfortunately they hadn't reached our room and there were several problems, such as a cupboard that had housed a fridge but the fridge was missing, Two drawers were missing from the dressing table.to mention just two of our problems with the room. Beds were comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities but no bottled water.Restaurant was a carvery but small quantities were put out at a time so the food was always fresh and hot and plentiful.Breakfast. Food was good but there was a problem with the toaster and a toaster that did just two pieces at a time was a problem with every one queing for their turn!
