La Stella Pizzeria - Norwich

Incredible experience! We were in town for the UConn graduation and decided to order takeout one evening. The restaurant was about a 20-minute drive from our AirBNB, and it was absolutely worth the trip. The pizza was fantastic, and they offered a gluten-free option as well. It was easy to double park and pick up our order. It also looks like a lively spot for dining in!

During my work trip to the area, I had the pleasure of stopping by this fantastic New York-style pizzeria. I ordered the meat lovers pizza and the buffalo mozzarella caprese salad, and both were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place. The service was also quick and attentive.

I was really looking forward to my first visit here, but unfortunately, I was let down. The plain pizza I ordered was extremely cold and dry, with no sauce and hardly any cheese—it felt like a hard piece of cardboard. It tasted as if it had been left out for a week and wasn't fresh at all. I found it odd, considering the place was busy and the pizzas are made to order. For $16, I expected it to at least be edible, but it was a big disappointment.

GO EAT HERE!!!!! We came to town from KY for the CT Barber Expo and were looking for a spot for dinner on our first night. I saw the reviews for La Stella and said let’s try it out. The owner is super friendly and the staff is on top of their tasks. We started with bruschetta which was super fresh and delicious. Then we ordered a family pizza, chicken piccata, ravioli al la vodka and spaghetti bolognese. Everything was PIPING hot and fresh. The flavors were amazing and everything was cooked perfectly. We asked for a little extra sauce on the pizza and for it to be cooked a little extra crispy. It was perfect. We finished off with tiramisu and a cannoli. Both were spectacular. And our waitress was on top of everything. Great service. I’d give 10/5 stars if I could. AMAZING.

Our party of four ordered the classic bruschetta appitizer, Italian style Family Favorite pizza, lobster ravioli, red bolognaise pasta, and lemon butter chicken pasta. The generous portions arrived perfectly prepared, steaming hot and bursting with flavor. The deserts were also fantastic. Excellent service delivered by a friendly high-functioning team. We received exceptional value for our money and time.
