Fred's Inn - Norwich

Right from the start, I have to say the service was outstanding. Neil consistently checked in, was friendly and cheerful, making for a truly wonderful service experience. However, I can only give 2 stars because of the food. I ordered the filet mignon, and the exterior was so burnt that it was inedible, while the inside was still raw, far beyond the medium rare I requested. Medium rare shouldn't be chewy. Additionally, there was some sort of lemon flavor that overwhelmed any taste of the meat itself.

My husband and I needed a place to stay last weekend for a wedding in Norwich. After researching various options, we found that most hotels in the area had poor reviews. That's when we discovered Fred's Inn, and we couldn't be more pleased. It's an older place, so there were a couple of drawbacks—our room had a slight cigarette smoke odor, and the TV had some connectivity issues—but nothing too detrimental. Denise, the woman who takes care of the rooms, was fantastic. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to try the food because of the wedding, but the menu looked wonderful! If you find yourself in the Norwich area, I highly recommend staying here!

We stayed at Fred's Inn for two nights this past weekend, and we found it to be very clean with a spacious room. The only drawbacks were that the bed wasn't very comfortable and the shower had low water pressure. Aside from these minor issues, we would definitely consider staying here again. The staff was very nice, and the atmosphere was quiet!

Clean, quiet and friendly staff! Couldn?t ask for a better stay for a quick night passing through. Room was spotless and very quiet.

My wife is originally from Norwich, I was born and raised in Charlotte NC where we both live now, we were in town visiting my mother in law and they finally took me here. The food was really good, really good service, definitely plan on going back whenwe're in town next time
