We revisited an old favorite today for lunch after several years without stopping by. The buffalo chicken pizza was fantastic, perfectly balancing spicy and slightly sweet flavors. The burger was sizable and cooked just right. The service was friendly and accommodating. And of course, the complimentary bread with oil and cheese dip was as wonderful as we remembered. What Michael Schuett doesn't like about Not Your Average Joe's Norwell:
Extremely slow service didn't get a drink order until almost 20 minutes of sitting with a menu. Food was decent but not memorable. The ahi wonton's were excellent but the jambalaya had no taste and zero heat for a Cajun dish??? View all feedback.

Honestly, Not Your Average Joe's is not what it used to be. For years, my husband and I enjoyed many meals there, but my recent experiences have not been great. I understand that the prices of everything have gone up, but the quality of the food at Joe's seems to have gone down. I went to their brunch yesterday. The drinks were good, the service was excellent, but the food left something to be desired. I had the Chilaquiles, and items were left out of the dish. No black beans, no Pico de Galo, just a dish of nachos with very little cheese and a few tablespoons of adobo sauce. I was very disappointed. Sad to say but I doubt that I'll be back. I definitely won't be back for the brunch!
Excellent tomato basil soup and crispy chicken salad
Everything about our visit to NYAJ’s was very good. The server Nathan was very attentive. The food was great except for the well done burger (ordered med well). Overall it was a very good experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.
We just wanted a simple meal the evening after the 4th of July. We ate at the bar and was kind of surprised how dead the place was for 7pm. Our server thought, Everyone 's at the Cape. Clam chowder was plenty for me, and it was hit with lots of clams. The ahi tuna app was consistently nice, and always our go to whether dining in or to go. The large salad will be great for lunch tomorrow. Parking: Always find a spot large area out back. Kid friendliness: We often see a group of children not after a team game, but more often a birthday event. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access; all on the first floor; plenty of parking.
