Cheever Tavern - Norwell

Our first time here and it definitely won’t be our last. We loved it!Great atmosphere, fast friendly service and excellent food.

I took my 80 year old mother here for dinner, and the food was excellent. Our waitress was lovely. The only issue that I had was we made a reservation ahead of time and we’re seated in a really precarious spot even though we booked ahead. It was very crowded so I understand why we were seated where we were seated, but we could’ve been much more comfortable at a table rather than stuck in a corner.

We invited two friends of ours to join us for a late lunch last week. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside on the porch. I love all the outside space at Cheever’s, so homey! Our cocktails and meals were delicious! This was our friends first visit to Cheever’s I know they will be back. Cheever’s is one of my favorites! I have always been pleased with my meals at Cheever’s whether it’s been brunch, lunch or dinner. If you are lucky you might even enjoy some musical entertainment!

I was at Cheevers for the fourth time in 2 months raved about Cheevers and took my family for my daughter's birthday. I ate the same burger each time...it had been superb.....this time everyone's meals were disappointing mine included five of us)...it was a Saturday evening and it seemed that the goal was to move people along and that goal was more important that the quality of the food...this was a forgivable first in my view at Cheevers...the sides were tasteless: mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Most disappointing was that the tip was calculated by software that included the meals taxes as part of the base cost of the meal....that is clearly not appropriate.

Food was delicious! We had fish and chips and baked cod. Molten lava cake was yummy too. Service excellent.
