I ordered tw... read more Unfortunately, due to the limited food options in Norwalk, I’ve continued to order from Pyra occasionally. This brings me to my experience tonight. I ordered two Shroom pizzas and a side of onion rings, which totaled $52. This is EXTREMELY expensive for the amount of food you receive. I was told my order would take 40 minutes. When I arrived on time, I was informed they would hold off on the onion rings to ensure they were fresh. Ten minutes later, the onion rings were ready, but there were still no pizzas. The young woman at the register then mentioned it would take another 10-15 minutes for the pizzas. I’ve only left a couple of Google reviews in my life, and I’m not one to complain. But as a pregnant woman, I just want a decent amount of food and better service for $52. I think this experience is going to be my last visit. I really wanted to love Pyra, but every time I leave, I feel like I’ve been shortchanged.

They specialize in Napoletana pizza, which is baked in a traditional wood-fired brick oven. We sampled the Average Joe Pizza, and it was outstanding. The restaurant maintained a clean environment, and the staff were very friendly. One area for improvement would be for the waitstaff to handle drinks by the middle of the glass or bottle to avoid touching the rim. We will certainly be back for more pizza!
