I was passing through town when I stumbled upon this delightful waterfront restaurant. I couldn't decide what I enjoyed more: their delicious Lobster Roll or the lovely outdoor patio dining right by the water. The food was outstanding, and the location is perfect, just off the main road. I ordered a lobster roll from Overton's, but when it arrived, it was cold and unappetizing. The customer service left much to be desired. I waited in my car for 15 minutes before finally hearing someone call out a number for a lobster roll. When I received my order, it was still cold, and the staff refused to reheat it, replace it, or offer a refund. Management explained they couldn’t afford to lose money by making another lobster roll or issuing a refund. But what about me, the dissatisfied customer? The register staff insisted they had been calling my number, but I clearly heard other numbers while waiting right in front—they never called mine. It’s disappointing to see how the overall experience and menu quality at Overton's have declined since the pandemic. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.
Overton's, situated right on Norwalk Harbor, offers a dependable menu featuring classic waterfront dishes like burgers, clam strips, and clam bellies. The outdoor deck at the back, equipped with picnic tables, provides plenty of seating options. Don’t miss their fantastic milkshakes, available in flavors such as strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate.
Overton's is my favorite place for a quick bite by the water! The prices are unbeatable, and the service is top-notch. My mom especially loves the chili dogs on the menu!
They paid great attention to the details of my order, and the fries arrived hot and fresh! The hot dogs were delicious too.
Avoid the onion rings.
