Timeless Tavern - NORTHVILLE

We visited this restaurant as tourists simply to enjoy a beer. What we found were friendly people who welcomed us warmly and were curious about how two Germans ended up here. We found it because we were staying at The Inn. Be sure to try the chicken wings (we opted for the boneless variety) with honey and thyme when you’re at the Timeless Tavern. Another must-have is the NY strip steak.

The service is quick, the food is excellent, and the staff is always checking to see if you need anything. I have no complaints and will definitely keep coming back!

To start, we ordered grilled clams as our appetizer, which were delightfully buttery and garlicky! Following that, we each enjoyed a cup of seafood chowder that was hearty and filled with a generous amount of seafood. It had a slight peppery kick and a creamy, homemade taste that was simply delightful. Next, we had a fresh side salad before diving into our main courses. I chose the chocolate balsamic strip steak while my husband opted for the Delmonico. There was an impressive amount of beef between the two dishes—enough to easily satisfy a table of ten! Both were cooked to perfection. The sides—potatoes, fries, green beans, and carrots—were an excellent complement to the meals. We’ll be enjoying leftovers for a few days, but we are already looking forward to visiting again! I highly recommend making the trip to Northville for this fantastic dining experience. To cap off our 33rd anniversary dinner, we shared a dessert and took a relaxing stroll in the lovely lakefront park behind the restaurant, which made for a wonderful conclusion to our evening!

The food and service were excellent. Although the wait time was a bit lengthy, the lively atmosphere made up for it. Overall, it's a great spot! Service: 5, Location: 5.

The food here is consistently fantastic! You simply have to try the honey Thai wings paired with homemade blue cheese—it's a must! The strip steaks served on garlic toast are incredibly tasty as well. And the 18oz chocolate balsamic steak? It sounds unusual to have chocolate in a steak dish, but we order it every time we visit and it never disappoints! The portion sizes are just right, and the restaurant is located in a charming little town with ample parking available both in the front and back. We always find ourselves returning!
