Service is great, the food could use some work to become American Comfort food though... mashed potatoes were just that, boiled potatoes and then mashed. Nothing else... the fries were freezer burned and thr fish wasn't the freshest. View all feedback.
What David Atkinson doesn't like about North Country Family:
Our third visit since the ownership change. First two visits we chalked our “less than desired” experience to learning curve etc…We went today for third try and at 11:50 they were out of haddock, switched to turkey club….out of Turkey!, soup of the day —-out? We ended up with chicken delight sub (tasty) and our server Morgan was excellent…but she was embarrassed they were out of all the normal standards. Before we le... View all feedback.
We stopped in for a quick lunch and we were very pleased with the service and the food. It was delicious! Our waitress Gina was very pleasant.
Food was great I got the ham wrap which was amazing. I also got the poutine and that was good but some of the fries were cold and a little under done wail some were hot and fully cooked. But definitely will be coming back.

Before we left we heard 4 other people get the “ we’re out of fish” spiel!Cleanliness has gone WAY SOUTH! Unfortunately our last trip into Ncfr!
Normally I would not give a restaurant like this 5 stars, but i think for the experience I had, they 've earned it!My friend and I pulled into town on Eclipes Monday around 1pm. We knew full well that there was only one restaurant in town, and that we were likely going to have to wait. So we waited; we were already where we needed to be, so if we got seated and served, bonus. Well, it didn 't work out. But, they were trying, and the young lady serving tables was trying her best. Some were mad they didn 't get their food, and that they may have even run out. But hey, how many people showed up there? Yet they still let anyone who needed it use their bathroom. That 's a HUGE plus!Forward a few hours after the eclipse, hey let 's try again. There was no wait (yet ... there was when we were leaving), and they had burgers! And the bathroom was still available for anyone who needed it!The burgers were exactly how I figured they would be. We asked for medium, and we got medium. They were juicy, good bacon, good fries! We were full, happy, and relieved .That same young woman was still waiting tables, and she was *happy*! Not all grumpy about how busy they were. And the bathroom was clean and there was still plenty of toilet paper. It 's a (really) small town restaurant. I hope some of the other low reviews are not typical. I 'm thankful that we were welcomed in the town and that a good grilled burger was available. Parking: Big open parking lot across the street.
