We booked for Sunday lunch today. My partner and I had roast beef and my mum had roast pork. The food presentation was good and it tasted delicious. The vegetables were perfect. Dessert was sticky toffee pudding and that was just as good. The staff were lovely and I appreciated that we were asked how the meal was before we left. We will definitely be back. View all feedback.

This place is a health hazard The bed sheets had brown bodily stains all over them with blood. There were **** tissues under the bed. The wardrobe was thick with black mould and smelt really bad. The shower cubicle was filthy with black mould and stains. There was no hot water. I contacted the owner to see if we could be moved to be told to “go f@@k myself I don’t give a Sh1t . We stayed on the site for our first time in September 2023, can't fault the place at all, my partner had proposed whilst we were here too. The pub food is fantastic and always a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We only live a 20 min drive away, but love to get 2 nights away in the motorhome when we are off work and this place ticks all the boxes. We've come back again in February 2024 and again, no complaints, the food in the pub was just as good as last time. Pitches are great size, clean and tidy site with a nice quiet walk not far to take the dog. Worth the £35 a night and many many repeat campers, says it all really. Thanks for another pleasant stay, now the weather is getting better, you'll be seeing us more often : Megan, Dave and Jenson the shepherd x
This spacious, warm, clean, and homey cottage is a real gem. I stayed there for 7 days with my dog and didn't want to leave. The cottage had all the amenities you could need, and the outdoor garden was perfect for my furry friend. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore during the day and relax in the evening. The location is fantastic and we will definitely be returning.
I recently came back from a two-day stay over New Year's Eve at this lovely site. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, especially Henry, the owner. I didn't have a chance to try the food since I was staying in my campervan alone, but I saw many people enjoying their delicious meals. Despite some negative reviews about the shower/toilet block, I found them to be perfectly fine. The showers were hot and powerful, just the way I like them. The atmosphere at the site was warm and inviting, with all the amenities one would need for a camping trip. I plan on returning next New Year's and hope to stay in one of the Holiday cottages. I highly recommend this place for a stopover or longer holiday, and I will definitely be back for the Sunday Roasts.
