Beautiful location on an idyllic village green, the friendly and helpful staff that you could ever wish, some of the best beer we ever had, really comfortable rooms and great eating. super 4 of us stayed at cycling the sandstone way. although jackie and the whole team (including their mum could not do enough to make us welcome and comfortable. great eating thanks to ciaran and a cozy ambiente in a characterful building. I doubt they will be disappointed when they leave.
Wonderful small free house extremely friendly family that it run, very welcoming atmosphere created, but both the peculiarities and the local community with large local beer to more than reasonable trips. I would recommend 1000% to visit if they were in the local environment and if. I keep finding myself around the other side, I'll pay another visit. thanks for the memories.
A lovely little pub with accommodation. that I did not try or sadly eat, but they simply sort a new menu that sounds tasty. they serve local beers including their own, and I have the gorse flower beer and another very floral beer on...ap I have also learned a lot about the colorful local history that included feen, hexen and even ghosts, and knows that I did not drink too much beer. they will certainly be welcomed with open poor and how I want to return. I just hope to travel to my place that I am welcome to more pubs. also in current times everything, including the loos, was very clean. thanks to a million for the strata and the beer and I will return
This pub in the quiet village elsdon has reopened a few years ago and now has good home cooked eating, not to mention the on-site first and last brewery for real ales. the bar is very much for the local and there is a restaurant if they want somewhere more peaceful
What a fabulous find, the craic with the locals and landlord second to none, food and beer was spot on and the rice pudding was to die for. Looking forward to my next visit
