The restaurant has a gorgeous dining area and delicious breakfast options. Unfortunately, we were unable to try their evening meals as they are only available Tuesday to Sunday and we visited on a Tuesday and Wednesday. They also have a bar serving excellent beer. View all feedback.
What Summer Rain doesn't like about Spice House:
We paid £41 for stale poppadoms that tasted as if they were fried in old oil. The tandoori chicken was tough and dry, appearing as if it had been reheated from the trash. The garlic naan was also tough, seeming as if it was made days ago. The king prawn dansak was not much better. Additionally, the person in charge behind the bar seemed to despise our presence. Unfortunately, this is the worst Indian takeaway we have... View all feedback.
We were a party of seven and hadn't previously booked. Fortunately, it was early evening so they were able to accommodate us. The food and the service were excellent. We all tried different dishes to what we usually have and we weren't disappointed. Would definately recommend to anyone visiting Seahouses.
This restaurant was such a great find while on a weekend away. The food was outstanding- we tend to be Dhansak eaters wherever we go. One meat eater and one veggie and we both thought this was the best Dhansak we’d had in a long while. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to return.
Great takeaway food there were 14 of us so tried a wide variety of dishes and the standard was very high. We’ve also eaten in the restaurant before and were equally impressed Thank you we’ll be back!
Revisit of this place, think this is the fifth time we've had food from here but disappointed this time. Not sure of they've had a change in chef or ownership but not of the curries tasted very nice at all and they were all cold all the meat was so over cooked it was like rubber and the tikka masala was one of the worst I've ever had . Pickle Tray tasted like it was out of a cheap jar, we may eat here again but unlikely
The food was just splendid and plentiful and the welcome was warm. We had byriani, tandoori royale, mixed saagawal and chicken tikka masala with garlic naan. We will be back.
