What bazzathemod doesn't like about Cottage Inn:
Went to the cottage inn while staying at a nearby campsite, we have been before so knew it was good, booked early to avoid disappointment. Our selection was scampi and beer battered haddock, which is pretty standard pub grub..we were surprised that it came out in 5mins so not cooked fresh.. Wasn't the best food and was a let down.. This was a great place for an evening meal. Plenty of parking. The staff were very friendly. The bar area was busy but a great atmosphere. The dining room is comfortable and the food was very reasonably priced. I would definitely return for evening meal.
Popped in lunch and a drink during the week with our two dogs. Lovely roast lamb baguettes with homemade chips. Decent pint of ale, with a good selection of other drinks on offer. Very dog friendly inside and out. Huge beer garden and a large car park.
What you see is what you get. Good pub food, sensibly priced with no pretence but the quality is good and the service very professional and friendly Many a lesson can be learnt by other pubs and restaurants in the area who pretend to be what they are not
Had been recommended to visit by a mate, and certainly wasn't disappointed. Great fish chips and a cracking pint. What's not to like ?
