We visited here for Restaurant Week for Lunch. We had the wings and she crab soup both were delicious. Then my Husband ordered the Beef Brisket and I ordered the Rigatoni. Both were Good. Heard they have a really good Happy Hour here. We will be back! View all feedback.
What Barry Blundin doesn't like about The Taproom Grille:
If you have unlimited time, are patient, and in no rush ... you will love it. The old school ambviance is unique and rich in history. Unfortunately, the service was historically poor. When you are done a round of golf you don't want a waitress who disappears like she is in the witness protection program. That's what we had. Lots of waiting and empty beer pints. Only the slow service brings down thus rating. View all feedback.
Anna was my server, and she was lovely. Her trainee Gina was sweet as well. The food is fresh and made with care by the kitchen staff. The xpiditer was professional and did his job well. I could see in the kitchen as food was prepared and the entire kitchen is spotless. The review is the best I have seen in Atlantic County NJ so far.
What a great find. They had live music, great food, and wonderful service. The portions and pricing were very reasonable given the high cost of everything today.
My fiancé, sister and brother in law and I were in Atlantic City for a comedy show, we decided to try the taproom for dinner before the show, which was at 10pm. Making a reservation online was easy and fast. Our reservation was at 7:45, we arrived around 7:50 were seated immediately on the outside patio. It took nearly 10 minutes for our table to be greeted and get our orders in. There was live music, who were okay but the volume was very loud, it was impossible to carry a conversation. Our alcoholic beverages, appetizers, Caesar salad and shrimp cocktail and bread for the table arrived at a reasonable time. It wasn’t until 9:20 when we had to flag down a manager to box up our food. After speaking with the manager, she seemed very unconcerned with our time crunch and the wait. Our server brought the check and our boxes over right away. We ended up eating our dinners with our hands in the car before our show since they didn’t provide silverware. We had ordered the king prime rib, 8oz filet, chicken and salmon. King prime rib and filet were good size meats and tasted well. Salmon was dry and over cooked we also found a rather large bone in the fish. The side of mashed potatoes had clearly been sitting long since my brother in law was able to pick it up like an apple.
The service was very quick, which different from previous years of restaurant week. Food was good, as always. The dark chocolate almond cake was pretty awful though. Tasted like a brownie you forgot in the oven for an extra 30 minutes, So dry and hard.
The food was delicious! Was a long wait time for the drinks and food. It's a beautiful place especially if you're seated facing the golf course.
