What Jane Doe doesn't like about Zhenyi Veggie Place Zhēn Yī Sù Shí Fāng:
If you already booked tables from them, later if someone book with CNY Set, they will give them priority, in other words, they cancelled your booking. Next, the day I booked was before CNY season, and they wanted to charge me extra 30%. Updated from previous review on 2021-01-10 View all feedback.
I didn't have high expectations for this popular vegetarian restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised by the wanton mee. The standout feature was definitely the rich, savory sauce. I chose the spicy version (which isn't explicitly mentioned on the menu, so make sure to ask for it) and it had just the right amount of heat. The wantons themselves were a bit forgettable, but the mildly sweet mock char siew added a nice twist to the dish. The portion size for the wanton mee was quite generous, and it included some leafy greens as well. The cold teas are sweetened, so if you prefer unsweetened tea like I do, this may not be the place for you. I visited on a Sunday late morning and would suggest avoiding peak hours, especially lunch time.
The food is general nice, air-con and comfortable place. We order a soup and the toufu taste sour, other than that it’s general ok
As part of the Zi Zai group, the food here is consistently delicious and satisfying.
Many different possibilities to choose from and ok prices.
