Having recently visited Sri Lanka, we decided to try this. By and large we agree with Alan L (above), although we found the Harakmas Baduma (marinated beef stir fried with potato, green pepper and pineapple) a little tough. However the Kukulmas (boneless chicken in spicy sauce) was excellent. While you are there don't miss trying the Sri Lankan beer (Lion). Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. We will go back... What User doesn't like about Sigiriya:
We booked for a group on a Tuesday 9th August for 6. Service was slow, some meals we ordered did not turn up, others were unavailable. We ordered the ? godamba roti to share, it was awful, smelt off, nobody could eat it. No real apology, but we did not pay for it! There were only a total of 3-4 other small tables there during our visit so they certainly weren't run off their feet. Won't hurry back View all feedback.

We happened upon this restaurant by accident. We were coming out of a shop and thought that we should get something to eat. This was the first restaurant we came by and as soon as we walked in it smelled devine. We ordered a biryani, cauliflower with cashews and a butter chicken plus some bread to use for dipping. The food was so yummy. We thought the butter chicken would be like what we get in our local Indian but it was very different but surprisingly delicious. The servings were good. The dishes we ordered fed two of us with leftovers that we could take away. The price was also very reasonable. Service was pleasant. Our waiter was very informative answering all our questions as we really didn't know the difference between Sri Lankan and Indian food.We will definitely go back and even bring a few friends.
Lankan Tucker makes Sri Lankan food accessible to all.
We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and decided to grab a bite to eat. It was the first restaurant we saw and as soon as we walked in, the aroma of spices hit us. We ordered a Biryani, Cauliflower with cashews, butter chicken, and some bread to share. The food was incredibly delicious. The butter chicken was different from what we are used to at our local Indian restaurant, but it was surprisingly tasty. The portions were generous, with enough leftovers for us to take home. The prices were reasonable and the service was friendly. Our waiter was knowledgeable and answered all our questions about Sri Lankan and Indian cuisine. We will definitely be returning and bringing some friends along.
