We had a great Saturday night here. The seafood linguini was fantastic- the balance of the chilli was perfect. I would definitely recommend this. They squeezed us in at the last minute and the staff were friendly without being over the top. There was no grumpy teenager! The guy at the front was efficient and the French woman let us taste a few wines before deciding. It was really busy but the staff took time to talk t... View all feedback.
What Shannon Ross doesn't like about Bar Nonno:
This is a surprisingly large establishment; misleading from the outside that looks in to the wine bar area. Quite large portions and service was fine. The salumi was good; however we were a bit limited on the choices for mains. My wife had pizza which we didn't think was very good at all. Too stodgy. The barramundi was fine and well cooked, but the accompaniments on the plate were a bit odd to me. The side of char-gr... View all feedback.
Had a great dinner tonight at Bar Nonno. Haven’t been there for more than a year and menu has changed but everything we had was delicious. Service brilliant and complimentary appetiser thrown in for good measure. Thanks Bar Nonno and we’ll be back again soon.
Very cute small bar restaurant, with fine wine and excellent food. Everything I had were delicious, especially the zucchini dish and the dessert. Staff was friendly and informative. Good atmosphere.
A nice little bar that sells a great range of wines. You can take away or sit in to experience a relaxing glass of wine and people watch. Well that's what my mate and I did lol.<br/ <br/ The service was friendly enough and efficient. I tried Green Vineyards Shiraz which was a local Victorian wine. This was earthy and it had nice berry flavours. There were minimum tannins and this was a great wine. But at $15 it wasn't cheap. <br/ <br/ My mate had an Italian Maurleo Sangiovese and apparently this was quite good. No we didn't share this time hahaha <br/ <br/ Overall this was a nice space to sit and relax and people watch. That's one of my favourite pastimes!
We arrived to the Westgarth shops well ahead of our dinner booking time so called into Bar Nonno for a drink beforehand. This cute little wine bar had an Italian sparkling wine on tasting when we arrived so we couldn’t say know. Their wine menu is basically wheat been opened so we got to try a couple of wines by the glass that were both unique and delicious. I tried a glass of the Picpoul de Pinet which was described to me as being like a Pinot Gris. A little less fruity than the Pinot Gris this was well received as was Kellies Champagne for Reims. If you like what you try you can buy and take it home for another day... perfect.

We booked earlyand I also have to say that of course, this place in Northcote is very popular.Bravo Sergio, I am very pleased to have met you. Hi, next time!
