Was Beaulah Flatley at Opal Cafe a mag?
They were slammed as soon as the doors opened at 8am this morning! We waited almost an hour for our breakfast but it was delicious. Ham and cheese croissant and the special spinach and ricotta hot cakes with candied bacon, banana smoothie (with chocolate and peanut butter pretty heavy but nice) and some pretty average coffee. Couldn't go to my usual this morning so tried Opal on the way to work. I don't know what they have done but the berry and chocolate muffin has gone in the bin almost straight away, something was up with those berries. Every 2nd bite had a really foul taste it. That's a fist, having to throw out a muffin. Still drinking the coffee now, which is ok. View all feedback.

Poached eggs were not cooked to order and looked like hard boiled eggs. I ordered a side of bacon which didn't come then when I reminded them they went away and came back again to ask if I still wanted it. It's not hard.
Every dish I have eaten here has been delicious. I particularly love the spinach and ricotta pancakes. Opal also freshly squeeze their juices which seems to be a rarity in cafe's these days.
Great food, fantastic service and hubby says great coffee too. Nice little hidden gem, away from the Main Streets in Northbridge
Went here the other day for the second time. The foods really lovely and so is the drinks. The atmospheres really calm and relaxing and its a great place to sit and read with a cup of coffee. Although its not in the area, I'll definitely make a trek to spend more time there on my days off.
