Feedback
While some customers have had negative experiences with the service and quality of dishes at this Nigerian restaurant, others have found it to be a comforting taste of home for when they are feeling homesick and hungry. Some patrons have enjoyed the Ogbonno soup and Jollof rice, while others have been impressed by the enticing aroma of the food which changed their initial plans of just having drinks. Despite some inconsistencies and issues with customer service, the wide selection and excellent quality of dishes make it a worthwhile dining experience for those craving authentic African cuisine. Give it a try and decide for yourself.
I originally planned to just have a few drinks at the restaurant, but the enticing aroma of the food changed my mind. I tried eforiro soup and pounded yam for the first time, and it has been my favorite dish ever since.
The restaurant may appear simple, but it offers a wide selection of delicious food. Having visited several African restaurants before, this one stood out in terms of quality. Although prices may be slightly higher than expected, the excellent food justifies the cost. I suggest giving it a try.
Ordered Nkwobi and almost lost my teeth trying to chew as it was as hard as nails. Complained to the woman owner and she brushed it off and had a silly look on her face wondering why I was not happy. Will not recommend.
The egusi was overcooked and had a burnt aroma and taste. Upon notifying the restaurant, the woman I spoke with was dismissive and insisted that there was nothing wrong with the dish. She was quite rude and raised her voice, showing a lack of concern for customer satisfaction.
Good Nigerian eating when they are extremely hungry and they miss home. it is the closest place for me. I had her Ogbonno soup, it was nice, but the beaten yam was cunning yam/iyan instantly, but I don't blame her lol i mean, I don't expect anyone to wear mortar and pfeife and start to beat yam for strangers. her Jollof rice is really good. the only problem is that they have no great variety at all times. they could call for a certain type of meal and ask, and it would not be ready, but overall its really nice cos they can call and ask for what they want. but they do not deliver, they must go to it themselves. so or so, his best thing in northampton so far.
