Tim Hortons - North York

I always order the chili soup at this restaurant. There is a lady of Asian descent who has been working there for over 8 years. I am always pleased to be served by her, as she is consistently fast and professional.

If I could give this restaurant 0 stars, I would, but unfortunately that's not an option. I came to this establishment to quickly grab a coffee, but one of the workers decided to be rude to me. It seemed like he was training someone, but instead of helping me, he instructed the lady who was supposed to take my order to do something different in a disrespectful manner. It appears that this employee needs to work on his personal attitude. I'm not sure what his issue was, but he needs to improve his tone. When a customer places an order, it is the employee's responsibility to enter it correctly into the system. However, this older man decided to change my order to his liking. I have a Bachelor's degree with honors from York University and I speak English fluently. Therefore, it was not appropriate for him to correct me. What actually happened was, instead of saying, "Hello, can I have a large coffee with four milks and no sugar," he insisted on saying just "four milks." Last time I checked, there is no specific way to order at Tim Hortons that everyone must follow. I was speaking in English, not another language. Therefore, I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant when this particular employee is working.

You can get coffee here, but not meals. We ordered three sandwiches, but no one informed us that we would have to wait 15 minutes because they needed to cook the grilled chicken from raw. The older lady cooking blamed me for not listening when they said they were out of grilled chicken. It would be better if they improved their English so customers can understand them better.

Slow slow slow, five people working and only one register open. Have your general manager call me so I can teach you guys how to run a store. Speed of service is terrible. I used to work for Tim Hortons. The restaurant manager should be embarrassed. It’s upsetting to see 5-6 people lined up and one cash open. Use common sense and open the next. Everyone moving like snails. Train your staff and implement speed of service techniques. It’s not hard watch the TDL training.

One of the better Tim Hortons around oddly enough and it’s a small one within an Esso Gas Station but somehow they make and keep their stuff fresher than most larger full stores.
