So I've been to Hakka Bros a few times and I am never disappointed. I really enjoyed their chili chicken and rice. Also, they have a homemade hot sauce which is AMAZING. I dunk my spring rolls in it. To die for. Great prices, big portion sizes and the staff are always friendly and nice. I enjoyed my takeout so much that I had to write a review. Thanks Hakka Bros! View all feedback.
Whenever I got to a specific type of restaurant, I seem to have a particular food to judge whether I might like a place. When I DimSum, it Ha-Gow. Pub-Wings. Italian - Penne Arrabiata. Steak - NY Strip. Sushi - California Roll...and Hakka...Chilli Chicken!I haven't been to a Hakka place in a while. I used to go regularly to Wok of Asia when I was assigned to a long term project in the area. Now that I'm stationed near Hakka Bros., it was great to find this place. As I mentioned, I like to try to the Chilli Chicken when I go to a Hakka place for the first time. Ordered the CC and Soup special - $5.95 tax.The Hot and Sour soup was thick and a decent portion for a combo soup. However, though it had some heat, it didn't have any real flavour. Added a bit of salt and that helped. The Chilli Chicken portion was generous. Not a lot of times that I don't finish my meal but I had to give up as I was going into a food coma! The chicken was moist and the batter was still crispy when served. It had nice heat with about the right amount of peppers. The rice however was a bit of a mess as it smelled off. The trials and tribulations of going there well after the lunch hour. If I had to rank my CC experience, it would be Wok of Asia first, this a close second, Asian Garden, then Hakka 77...dead last...Hakka
The chili chicken is still on point, as in, everytime I go here it's amazing. Super flavourful, super fresh. A must try.

I'm chef and I know what's Hakka Chinese is? I'm trained back home about this cuisine called Indian Chinese fusion, its combined flavours of Indian and Chinese ingredients.....Chinese who migrated to India especially Hakka origin after World War II as refugee they started this cuisine to survive in Indian economy in Kolkata place called tangda. I went to order Hakka chilli chk and fried wonton waited for almost 40 min I know that take away is second priority than dinning customer but this old man in counter I guess he is owner and chef he needs to drop his Chinese attitude to run the business, he is just standing on counter and won't give updates on food ,the cooks behind who is cooking is amazing but this is not an 100% Indian Chinese. I'll give 5 stars to the chef in kitchen but not to the owner who in counter rude, unprofessional, arrogant with bunch of owner attitude will go again but won't take his **** again.
The food from this place is amazing, tasty, spices on point. and also clean and tidy. The Staff are friendly. I have eaten at this place many times both dine in and take out, each time the food has been fresh, tasty, piping hot (as in the temp which I like) and portion sizes are huge! If u are in the area give this place a go! My go to comfort food which makes me smile on the inside!
