Earth Indian Restaurant - North York

My husband and I had previously had a takeout from this restaurant and I thought their chicken madras was the best in Toronto, so we decided to go there for dinner for Valentine's evening. I had the madras with basic basmati rice and naan and my husband had the Goan fish and shrimps. Absolutely delicious, a small restaurant but a nice touch is the open kitchen where you can see the chef preparing food, including the Tandoori, which was interesting. Service was excellent. There were only two other groups/couples eating at the time, but the waitress was very polite and efficient. We would recommend it and as the portions were so big, we took some home too for the next day.

I ordered food for delivery and they did deliver within 25-30 mins as promised which was nice.I ordered Garlic Naan (which was nice), Butter Chicken (usual as you would find at most of the places), Chicken Curry (good) and Daal Tarka (good). Overall a satisfying experience.

Very family were very unhappy with our Friday take out. we ordered veg biryani none of the ingredients listed were in the food it rather resembled coloured rice with small frozen veg no nuts or fruits or spices. it was awful. then we opened my Korma. it was like think and tasteless. again NO sign of dried fruits or spices. veg that looked rather like the biryani. my family ordered $50 worth of food and we were very let down. -- family called the restaurant and was told no manager was available. asked that they call back. No reply. heard nothing. no one was interested. members of the family have been before and ate in. had no problem so feeling very disappointed.

We have mediocre experience with few other Indian restaurants and really loved this one. The food was very delicious and portions of normal size at very reasonable prices,compare to other Indian restaurants we went before. Our waiter, Chander, was very nice,neat and very organized. Thanks a lot, Chander.We definitely will come again with our friends
