Have the Malaysian laksa soup with Vermicelli noodles, along with popcorn chicken and pork soup to share. The noodle shell is massive. I'm sure you'll share one if you come here. Service is fast and you get a lot of choice when you customize your soup. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Deer Garden Signatures North York:
Before the pandemic I remembered Deer Garden. I just left today and was quite disappointed. We had the laksa and original fish soup, and both lubricated quite watered. For $15.75 without taxes per meal, I felt like cheating for what I got. Service was fast, standard, and nothing much to write at home. I enjoyed the milk tea, it was quite strong and tasty, but I can't say the same for the noodle soup because it's not... View all feedback.
Had the fish soup with flat rice noodles and beef slices. Felt like the noodles were a little overcooked. The soup was too fishy and the beef tasted a bit metallic. Not a fan of the flavours but maybe it’s on me for making the wrong selections…
Flies like us, 2 times in a row flying around my food! My favourite tomato pumpkin soup base, missing pumpkin 2 times in a row. While i was munching my food, I took the courage to ask.. the lady told me that I should have dig around the bowl and told them first thing upon received. Fine, my bad! They did give me back a serving of pumpkin separately. Later I found a molded looking bean curd : ' oh gosh, I had enough. Will go to the other location from now on.
The restaurant was really empty for lunchtime, with only a few tables of patrons during peak lunch hour, which was surprising. The quality has decreased since it first opened, with fewer ingredients in the broth and smaller portions than in the past. The fried fish side dish we got was also like a solid piece of fish rather than a flaky filet, which was also disappointing. The service was good, but the food quality was not as great, so I would definitely think twice about returning.
Service was fine during the Sunday lunch rush. Staff accommodated our group of four with a baby. Less brisket compared to the RH location but overall it's still good.
I ate the rice noodles in the restaurant, I tasted vegetable very bitter, so I just told waitress, she did not help to deal with the problem and she did not say sorry even!!
