What Philip C doesn't like about Teriyaki Experience:
Please avoid this location. They need to update their menu since they have few of the options specified there. I asked for their soup but was turned down. My friend asked for a bubble tea but was also rebuffed. My other friend managed to order their chicken teriyaki but said it tasted weird and would not recommend it. There are plenty of other pan-Asian places out there to try out. Don't bother with this one. View all feedback.
Came here to buy their sauce before and they ran out. They are now closed
Great spot but it's closed now. They just haven't de-listed from google. Please update
I ordered the Ginger Sesame Beef and got 1/3 of the portion. I asked for a refund and they said they would put the correct amount in. This is not acceptable as we are purchasing a meal and we are being shortchanged on our purchase. Why would this be happening, Had a consumer not have been attentive, they would have gotten 1/3 of a meal for full price.
I'm pleasantly surprised by Poke I found at the Sherway Gardens food court. The quantity they gave me was huge and the food ingredients were fresh! You won't be left hungry as I could split it into two meals. The photo I posted looks smaller than it is. The price of $14 for salmon poke is standard compare to other pokes places, but you get more here. You can choose veggies, or brown/white rice or half/half. I did a bit of brown and mostly mix salad (spinach, arugula, purple cabbage etc . They gave a heaping serving of salmon and asked if I want to pre-mix the salmon with uni sauce. Why Yes! Also 4 toppings of my choice which they plopped a generous amount on. I got seaweed salad, seasoned diced tomatoes/onions (pico de gallo? , broccoli, and beets. Maybe not authentic, but ingredients were all fresh tasting which is key! There are multiple unique sauces to choose from mango to this ginger (forgot the name sauce, I've told them to put a little of both so I can keep the calories low but they seem to be very heavy-handed with their sauce but at the end turned out tasty. As a typical Asian girl, I got tempted by their BBT menu and ordered the taro milk tea without topping. I liked that the default didn't add ice so you get more of the drink, though I went back after a few sips to add some ice to get it to be colder. I asked for less sweet way too late, as they are already were blending it. The drink was nothing special, got my fix, but the sweetness was on point! Thrilled with the generous portions and tasty poke bowl here, I don't think poke is available at all the Umi chains so this may be an exclusive option to certain locations. Will definitely be one of my top choices if I'm in Sherway Gardens again for food.
