Kwan - North York Industiral

Really amazing food! Gawd I love this place, their dim sum is on point! I recommend the pork buns, sesame chicken, and the sweet and sour chicken. All amazing dishes. Staff are nice enough and I've never had a problem with them. Only concern is that the price is a little high but that's it. I definitely recommend trying this place.

Found a nice little dim sum joint at York Mills Gardens called Kwan Dim Sum. If you’re craving for those bite size meals with big flavour this is the place to try. Ambiance and decor is pleasant to the eyes. The food is priced just right for what they serve. When ordering make sure to order the steamed BBQ pork buns(so delicious), Pork siu mai(flavourful) and Steamed sticky rice(wife’s favourite). If you’re adventurous try the chicken feet( a regular in Dim Sum). Definitely coming back for the quick bites.

All Day Dim Sum?<br/ <br/ I was a little skeptical but now I believe that Kwan at York Mills can deliver hot and delicious dim sum all day. As there are 5 dim sum chefs working in the kitchen and everything you order is made fresh. <br/ <br/ The price is in line with most other dim sum places starting from $3 and up. The tea charge of $2 definitely worth it as the quality of the tea is good (they have different kind of Chinese tea so just ask).<br/ <br/ We just ordered a few dish to try with recommendation for our friendly waitress:<br/ <br/ Steamed Rice Roll with Watercress with Beef (L) 西洋菜牛肉腸<br/ <br/ Transparent Soft Cake (M) 紫心水晶餅<br/ <br/ Bean Curd with Oyster Sauce (M) 蠔皇鮮竹卷<br/ <br/ Deep Fried Lotus Root Pork Cake (L) 香煎蓮藕餅<br/ <br/ Seafood with Snow Pea Sprout Dumplings (L) 荳苗海鮮餃<br/ <br/ I love their Rice Roll. They prepared everything from scratch including grinding rice to make the paste for the rice roll wrap. The wrap has a great QQ texture, a little thick but yummy!<br/ <br/ Everything was fresh and delicious. The quality is as good or even better than some of the dim sum restaurants in Markham/Richmond Hill!<br/ <br/ The deco is really chic and trendy. A quiet place to enjoy a chat with friends over some good food. Closes at 5:30 pm Monday to Thu but on other days they opens till 10 pm they offers an additional menu on top of dim sum.<br/ <br/ Highly Recommended especially there is no other dim sum restaurants in the immediate area.

Kwan Dim Sum was opening up another new location at the York Mills/Leslie plaza for all day dim sum. In my experiences with all day dim sum, the quality wasn't always good all the time and was quite hesitant about this experience. Good dimsum. We go there once a week. One of my favorite restaurant.
