This is a must know for a quick tasty and cheap snack! The bun drink deal is unbelievable good.We got two large fresh watermelon juices and got 2 free buns as a part of their ongoing promo. It was $15, but you get free buns with a small drink too which should be just over $10. What Jimmy Le doesn't like about Kin Kin Bakery Bubble Tea:
I ordered a original milk tea because it was a safe choice for most bubble tea places but, when I first tasted it, it had the taste of diluted milk, it had no flavour in it, the tapioca was very soggy and plain, I worked in some bubble tea stores and we use brown sugar to make it sweet, but this store feels like they just soaked it with water. First tried to overcharge me for their special. Tried to charge $7.20 for their small drink+ bun which was about $5.50 pre tax. She corrected it afterwards. She has the prices memorized in her head so she knows what she doing. Watch out. Then charged 5 cents for a bag. Not coming back kinkin.
I always love coming here when I visit Gerrard Square. The coconut bun, cinnamon bun and sugar buns are like comfort food too me and have saved me several times when I’ve needed a snack! I love the taro bubble tea slush with tapioca. It’s the best!
Honestly the worst bubble tea I’ve had, we ordered different milk teas and none of them had any taste, the tapioca was soggy and it took over 10 minutes to get the bubble tea. I’ve been too many different bubble tea places but this ranks last on my list. Real fruit is downstairs and although it isn’t the best it’s much better than Kin Kin.

The buns were baked fresh tasted great. The garlic one was packed with flavor.I highly recommend the spot. It’s on the second floor of Gerard square across from Staples. We only noticed it because the fresh buns smelled amazing, but it is now one of my go-to spots. Love love love!
