Indian Gourmet - NORTH WILLOUGHBY

Great westernised indian food. All dishes ordered were mild even if it is usually a hot curry. Naan bread so fresh and tasty.

Our biggest mistake is that this is a take away joint not a restaurant. Sitting on uncomfortable chairs next to a warming oven in a tiny shop is not pleasurable. We ate here based on reviews and all hated it all. Whilst the staff were...friendly (not Indian) so we should have realised this was not going to be authentic. The portions were small, the taste ordinary and the presentation unappealing. Naan bread was a thick gluggy piece of bread nothing naan about it. The chicken Tikka was off cuts of chicken in a sauce. The samoosas tasteless. We were so disappointed and. We were gobsmacked to think that this pokey place could be considered Gourmet. We would have given star but the staff were friendly

I had to drop down to Sydney to visit a mate in hospital. A great excuse to replace hospital food with some truly excellent food. We had the coconut king prawn curry this time, it was great! Fortunately my mate is going to be sick...for a while so that gives me an excuse for many more visits, and you would want me to come empty handed now would you? Cheers, Mark

Absolutely thrilled to go back to this place again after about years and find it still at such a great standard. really fab food here, honestly cannot go wrong!

It was great to catch up with James Pete after an absence of years. These guys make to best curries going. Their curries are so good I take them to our family get togethers when we don't have time to do it for ourselves....All of our extended family can make some fantastic curries (mainly Singalese style) and they are always very satisfied with anything I get. The Kandarne (not sure about spelling) is a real favourite of mine and so is the king prawn curry and many more. This time I got about or curries and they were all great! The only problem is I now live about kilometres away!
