I live near this restaurant and my family goes there about once a month because it never fails to deliver. Part of me wants to keep it a secret, but I also want to share my good fortune! It's in a suburban shopping strip, away from the tourist trail but is close to Chatswood which is a big shopping/eating destination in Sydney. The M40 bus stops right outside the restaurant. Of course you shouldn't expect 5 star surroundings but as far as value for money it's hard to beat.Try the beautiful Gyoza (6 pieces for $7.50), or the soft shell crab entree for $8.50, followed by the always fresh sashimi salad for $12.50. The menu is about 80 dishes long but we usually stick to the same things, because they're consistently great.I think it's run by a family because the kids are usually in the restaurant whenever we go.BYO (your own wine or beer) for a small fee.Very friendly service,

Lovely family run place, nothing flash to look at but ask (such as for saké cups) and they accomodate. Eat in is better in some instances, but the HB Best Choice box is a winner for takeaway. They have remembered me since my second visit, even over the phone, which is testament to their quality of service.

Always love the Chicken Kara-age and Takoyaki there. HB best choice is a must if you are hungry! Love going here and will keep coming back! My wife's favourites are the Agedashi tofu and chicken Katsu
