Contribute FeedbackThe Fig and Olive offers a beautiful location with delicious food and attentive staff. While some reviewers found the prices to be somewhat high, the overall experience was deemed enjoyable. Suggestions for improvement included better service during busy times and a more family-friendly environment. Despite these minor issues, the general consensus is that the Fig and Olive is a charming spot with quality food and pleasant ambiance, making it a top choice for brunch, lunch, or a leisurely Sunday roast. With a lovely garden center and gift shop nearby, the Fig and Olive is a delightful destination for a relaxing meal.
A meal for a school friend reunion. We haven't seen each other for 49 years. I proposed this place as I had visited for lunch last year and was very impressed. My friends came over from Kings Heath and Higher Heath, but they said it was worth the distance and would go back. Knew the Fig and Olive didn't let me fall. Thank you.
For Sunday dinner. Not too busy when we arrived, and there were many young people waiting for it, but they seemed more interested in chatting until they had to do with Diners. The manager was there, but that seemed to make no difference. It was finally served, but the waitress offered no smile or some kind of enthusiasm, had only a boring expression. Eat well, but not as good as a previous occasion. Beef was not so tender and not so much for the price. If we didn't ask if we wanted more drinks from our waitress, she cried over when my sons said that she didn't want another drink that she was throwing off without waiting for my husband and I needed one to defeat another waitress. Note other diners who need to ask for menus, etc., although many servers were around, they were just chatting. This is a beautiful place, but the experience on Sunday was not comparable to previous occasions. Will not rush back for a while, but there will probably be another way, but if it is quieter than the service and food seemed better at that time.
Bays a table at 11 a.m. for 3 people last Sunday, but was not served until noon, which was a long wait. Otherwise a very nice meal.
This was my friends first visit to the Fig Olive and he loved it, he can’t wait to visit again
Staff were polite and very attentive. Food was delicious especially the cod and a wonderful filling buddha bowl. We sat both outside on the terrace and also, later, inside and it was a very relaxed atmosphere. A good choice of drinks including speciality vodkas. Will definately be back.
