While the booking process is commendably seamless, inconsistencies with reservations have caused disappointment. Guests have experienced long waits for food, with some being turned away due to early kitchen closures. Despite these setbacks, the dedicated staff, particularly Kimberley, have been praised for their efficiency and friendliness. The food, while reasonably priced, varied in portion sizes and menu availability. Overall, diners appreciated the tasty dishes, but some lamented the need for refinement and a more diverse drink selection.
We had a good meal and the service was enjoyable. Unfortunately, not all the steak options were available on the menu, so my wife had to choose the sirloin. The bar only had canned John Smiths beer instead of draught options. Despite these minor inconveniences, we still had a pleasant evening overall.
After making a reservation for a table four weeks in advance for a 7pm dinner for seven people, I was happy with the booking process and email confirmation. The day before our reservation, I received a follow-up email to confirm our table and to let the restaurant know of any changes. However, when our party of seven arrived at 7pm to enjoy our meal, we were informed that the restaurant had stopped serving food at 4pm. The manager's unsympathetic suggestion was for us to come back the following day, which was not a viable option for us.
The food wasn't hot and the plates were cold. However, the staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us.
We enjoyed the meal and the service was good. the menu had not all steaks listed so that my wife had to settle for the sirloin. the bar had not caught bee only john smiths in doses. but overall we had a pleasant evening.
After the reservation of table week in advance for a meeting for people I was satisfied with booking process and email confirmation on the day before our reservation I had a follow-up email to confirm our table and requesting that the restaurant know that changes our party came to enjoy our meal, only to be informed that the restaurant had stopped very, eat at the day that we did not come back.
