Nicli Antica Pizzeria - North Vancouver

The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. They offered a fantastic selection of vegetarian and vegan options.

Absolutely loved the food! The service was great and the ambience was lovely. Its one of my new favourite places to eat. The gf pizza is the best Ive ever had in my life.

Arrived 15 minutes early for a reservation, which was easy to accommodate because it was so early (5:00pm). I indicated on the reservation that I needed a high chair and that the occasion was a birthday. They didn’t seem to know I needed a high chair, but one was easy enough find so no worries aside from the lack of attention to detail. Never a word about a birthday, though. We were two of nine people in the restaurant at the time, a gaggle of service staff clustered together at the bar. No table greeting for 10 minutes. The female server never so much as cracked a smile even when she did come. The $18 5 oz glass of negroamaro was table wine at best. The pizza was fine I suppose, but scant on the ingredients. No quality check from the server. I had a nice night out with my young son but that was due to the fun we had together and the nice people at the table beside us. One pizza, one 5 oz glass of wine, tax, and tip (15% which was generous): $50. Give me a break. I get that times are hard especially in the industry but if you’re charging those prices there better be some value somewhere. Sadly there was none. Wouldn’t go back, not even for happy hour. Another disappointing dining experience in 2023. Get it together Nicli.

This has been our favorite spot for date nights! We'll definitely miss it when we move to the island.
