I stopped at Jerry's today after leaving Rona (across the street).I was hungry so ordered the burger and fries platter. I haven't tasted fries like this since I left Halifax - hardly anybody bothers to do french fries properly but this place had the crispiest,lightest french fries going. Was looking forward to trying breakfast at Jerry's, but we found it disappointing. Nice enough decor, obviously fairly recently updated and looking somewhat like a Bread Garden Urban Cafe, with the same type of self-serve flow. Though the eggs were cooked perfectly, the potatoes were...dry, bacon odd, and toast had been buttered cold so it looked more like frosting than buttered toast. Price was right but there are m... Dropped in for brunch. While the atmosphere is very basic, the food is great. Good value and very good servings of cafeteria food.
This small cafe caters mainly to the employees in the surrounding office buildings. They open at 7:30 AM to 4:00PM Monday through Friday.Their menu is more than ample, with my favourite being 2 eggs ( my style), choice of bacon, sausage or ham, along with chunky potatoes and 2 slices of toast. This is referred to as breakfast A. Breakfast B is the same but the toast is replaced with a pancake.There several other breakfast choices. Surprisingly, at the time of this writing the cost for A or B is $4.25. Coffee is extra.There are daily specials which are prominently displayed at the front door. Most of the specials are for the lunch crowd. They do take phone and fax orders. There a few Japanese dishes on the menu.The food I have enjoyed is delious and an ample amount. The staff is friendly and efficient.This a great place for a basic meal at a very reasonable price. I am concerned that as they get known, and they become popular, the prices will climb but for now it is a great deal.

Oh both the fries and burger were hot - they have a good chef.Quite a few people dining, even at 3 pm - that's a good sign. It was also clean and bright - lots of windows. Good space for kids.
We came across Jerry's, quite unexpectedly, while taking an alternate route to Marine Drive on our way to Pemberton Avenue. Jerry's is staffed with friendly staff who prepare tasty and attractive meals. I had a breakfast sandwich that was prepared perfectly. My husband had a hamburger with chips. Everything was prepared to perfection AND great coffee. We will definitely return and are glad we drove along 1st!
My first time trying lunch at Jerry's Cafe, ordered the Japanese curry with cheese to take away as I'm a curry lover.
