My wife and I tried this restaurant because we read good reviews about them. Yes not bad. We ordered 3 items from the menu…pomfret in maggi sauce (good), braised tofu with mushrooms (good), halnanese chicken (not recommended-cold). They tried to heat up the chicken because it was prepared earlier. But it was not warm enough. We saw the lunch menu that we would like to give it a try next time. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Jade Garden Kitchen:
I ordered 2dinners on Skip the dishes and included specific requests/directions for the dishes and neither was provided. A red curry was requested and a yellow curry was delivered, and it was weird to say the least! The Pad Thai dish was spicy as opposed to mild spice requested. This dish was not enjoyed and had very little resemblance to an authentic pad thai. I do not recommend this restaurant if you want Thai food... View all feedback.
I ordered lunch combos A and B. It was nice to have a variety of dishes including fried noodles and rice.
We ordered the half Peking Duck (2 courses) and were very disappointed with what we received. Instead of the traditional dish, we were given 6 pieces of duck skin and a small portion of lettuce wrap with tiny bits of duck meat. We found the price to be excessive, as they charged $52.99 for the half Peking Duck, which equates to $26 for just 6 pieces of duck skins. When we raised our concerns about the pricing, we were met with a rude response claiming that this is standard practice in Vancouver's restaurant scene. On a positive note, their beef chow fun and Shanghai fried noodles were decent, but we would not recommend their Peking Duck.
Walked in and was greeted promptly and seated in a nice homey location in the restaurant. The waitress was very nice, and I ordered the sweet and sour pork. It took no longer than 7 minutes for my order to come, and it was probably the best quality sweet and sour pork I've ever had. I tried some of my girlfriends lemon chicken and it was also amazing. Will be coming here every time I crave Chinese food.

The dim sum was really bad. Not sure about the other dishes, but avoid the dum sum. It was not fresh. Store-bought, I think. Couldn't chew the steamed pork. Dumpling smelled burned. We eat dim sum every time we go to town and this is our first really crappy, seriously expensive experience.
